Nixon Mission Android Wear smartwatch goes up for pre-order at $400, shipping mid-October

One Android Wear smartwatch we’ve been eagerly looking forward to since early this year is the Nixon Mission. This sports-oriented smartwatch is built to withstand just about anything you throw at it, whether that’s swimming, surfing, or even snowboarding. Until today we haven’t known much about when the Mission would release, or what it would cost.

Now, the Nixon Mission is available for pre-order starting at $400…

Inside, the Nixon Mission packs Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 2100 processor, specifically made for wearable devices. Along with that, you’ll also find a 400 mAh battery rated at about a little over a day between charges, and a bunch of sensors — GPS, thermometer, altimeter, barometer, e-compass, gyrometer, accelerometer, and humidity.

Nixon also has the watch pre-loaded with a few apps and watchfaces which can take advantage of those sensors as well as show information relating to snowboarding/surfing conditions.

If you’re interested in accepting picking up the Mission, head over to Nixon’s website to pre-order. From the site you’ll be able to pick from a variety of different colors, bands, and bezel colors and designs. Extra bands are also available for $45 a piece with a spare charging cable also available for $25. Orders ship out starting October 10th.
