There’s now a Tango app on the Play Store for finding the best AR-enabled experiences

Lenovo’s Phab2 Tango phone went official earlier this year, but we haven’t heard much about Google’s phone-based AR platform since. Now, the Mountain View company has listed an app called Tango on the Play Store, which makes it easy for those with Tango-enabled devices to find Tango experiences…

This is an early version of the app, so it’s probably not full-featured. We wouldn’t know, though, because we don’t have any devices that can run it. Here’s what Google says:

Tango brings Augmented Reality to your smartphone. The Tango app helps you launch your favorite AR experiences and discover new apps.

Like I said, the app’s not compatible with any of the phones associated with my account, so I’m going to go ahead and assume you have to have a device like the Project Tango Development Kit or, obviously, the Lenovo Phab2 Pro. If you have one of those devices, feel free to grab the app on the Play Store.
