Google TV Streamer remote is now out of stock as shipping delays for the box continue

The Google TV Streamer is a long-awaited upgrade for Google’s living room experience, but getting your hands on the new hardware just keeps getting harder. For the Google TV Streamer itself, shipping dates continue to slip, but even if you just want to use the new remote, that’s now completely out of stock as well.

As we reported a couple of weeks ago, shipping times from the Google Store for the new Google TV Streamer have been slipping back. That has only continued in the time since, with the Store now showing estimates for October 25 or later for the “Porcelain” color option, and well into November for the “Hazel” color.

At other retailers, shipping times are also starting to slip back. Amazon estimates delivery anywhere from October 29 through December 4 while Best Buy isn’t offering shipping, and has limited in-store stock remaining.

Your best bet to get a Google TV Streamer right now is at Home Depot or Lowe’s Hardware, both of which seem to still have stock left for shipping and some in-store availability depending on your local stores.

Beyond that, the Google TV Streamer remote is also now out of stock. You can no longer buy the remote – whether it be to have as a spare or to use with an older Chromecast or other Android TV OS device – from the Google Store. That’s also the only place you could buy this remote in the first place, so you’ll have to wait for Google to restock in order to get the remote.

Sold for $19.99, the Google TV Streamer Voice Remote has been available for order for a while now, with the “Hazel” option being out of stock for more than a couple of weeks now, and the “Porcelain” color no longer being available in the past few days.
