Android 15 November security patch rolling out: What’s fixed for Pixel

Following the stable release last month, the first update to Android 15 is rolling out with the November security patch for the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9 Pro Fold.

It’s no longer guaranteed that Pixel patches arrive on the first Monday of the month, but that’s still usually when they are released. As such, this middle-of-the-week update is somewhat unexpected.

There are 21 security issues resolved in the Android 15 November patch dated 2024-11-01 and 23 for 2024-11-05. Vulnerabilities range from high to critical. CVE-2024-43047 (Kernel) and (CVE-2024-43093) Elevation of privilege “may be under limited, targeted exploitation.”

The dedicated bulletin for Google devices lists three additional security fixes.

The factory and OTA images are now live, along with the on-device update (57.35 MB on Pixel 9 Pro XL).
