Following two smartwatch releases in 2024, there’s apparently a OnePlus Watch 3 in development which could arrive unexpectedly soon.
The OnePlus Watch 2 is a Wear OS-based smartwatch that OnePlus launched in early 2024 as a drastic upgrade over 2020’s dreadful OnePlus Watch. Later on in the year, the OnePlus Watch 2R launched as a slightly cheaper, but essentially identical device.
Given the timing of the 2R’s launch, a OnePlus Watch 3 wasn’t expected anytime soon, but that might not be the case.
Tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the OnePlus Watch 3 will be hitting “global markets” in the near future. The Watch is mentioned alongside the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R, somewhat implying they could be launching together. That doesn’t seem very likely, though, seeing as OnePlus hasn’t teased a new smartwatch just yet. More likely would be a launch towards February, as was the case for the OnePlus Watch 2.
What do you think about a new OnePlus Watch? The Watch 2 was widely regarded for its stellar battery life, but it’s unclear what a sequel might bring to the table.
