While many Black Friday deals are coming to an end, Samsung is planning on offering one of its best trade-in prospects of the season. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is supposedly going for as much as $1,100 off with a trade-in and bundle until sometime in December.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is one of the best-performing phones of the year, and not much has been able to take its place. It was one of the first devices to run One UI 6 and will be first in line for One UI 7 when it comes around. The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and a camera array that does a fine job, so when the 512GB variant is down to $499, it’s not such a bad deal at all.
Samsung is a little vague when it comes to its online deals, but we’ll break it down. Samsung says you can get around $1,100 off of the Galaxy S24 Ultra with a trade-in in the last-minute deal. Technically, that involves trading in a Galaxy S23 Ultra for $800 and taking advantage of Samsung’s free storage upgrade, which brings the 512GB version down to $499 from $1,419. If you were to buy the 256GB version, you’d be paying the same price, so there’s no point.
It’s also worth noting that the online exclusive colors – Titanium Green, titanium Blue, and Titanium Orange – are all $120 off, which adds to the “$1,100 off” value. On top of this, Samsung might also be factoring in the free VIP Advantage membership with the purchase, which is a $150 value.
In total, the math really doesn’t add up if you’re looking at the S24 Ultra alone. Samsung says that you can get $1,100 off, but the S24 Ultra isn’t exactly coming down that far without adding the value of a bundled Galaxy Watch or Buds 3 Pro. The best value here seems to be a phone that’s actually $920 off by itself. It seems Samsung is also combining this offer with the 30% off watch deal going on now.
Who is this deal for?
It’s clear that this deal is really going to benefit those wanting to pull the trigger on an upgrade from the S23 Ultra to the S24.
Trading in an S22 Ultra will net the buyer $700 in trade-in credit and an S21 Ultra will go for $650. Those values in themselves are also great options for some looking to upgrade over two or three generations. These trade-ins are definitely boosted over the general values Samsung usually offers, which are not normally this good.
Samsung is also offering boosted values for Google’s devices, marking the Pixel 4, 5, and 6 as $300 trade-ins. The Pixel 4 might be a great device to trade for the S24 Ultra.
Samsung’s Black Friday deal on the Galaxy S24 Ultra will last until December 2 and is a great option, even without a full $1,100 on the S24 Ultra alone.
