A regulatory listing seems to reveal more details around the OnePlus Watch 3, with the updated smartwatch being a little bit thinner, but roughly the same overall size despite having a much bigger battery.
The existence of the OnePlus Watch 3 first broke cover recently, but it’s unclear when the product will be hitting the market. It’s seemingly soon, though, as a new FCC listing for the product showed up recently as spotted by 91Mobiles.
The listing doesn’t reveal any images of the smartwatch or any clear details on its design or features, but it does reveal a key aspect – the size.
OnePlus Watch 2 was a stellar smartwatch right down to its design, but the size could feel just a bit unwieldy for some users. That won’t change immediately on OnePlus Watch 3, it seems, as the device still measures 46.6 x 47.6mm, up every-so-slightly from the 47 x 46.6mm of the previous generation.
However, the OnePlus Watch 3 is thinner, coming in at 11.75mm versus the Watch 2’s 12.1mm. That’s not a major difference, but every little bit counts when it comes to a smartwatch, and it’s certainly going to be interesting to see what impact this makes on OnePlus’ next Wear OS watch.
The listing also reveals the potential battery size as being around 631-648 mAh. Those are “rated” and “typical” capacity amounts, but in either case it’s a considerable jump over the 500 mAh battery found in OnePlus Watch 2.
A release date for this product remains unclear, but it seems to be on track for a release sooner than later. The OnePlus Watch 2 launched in February 2024.
