Samsung will give you $350 for any phone if you get a ‘Re-Newed’ Galaxy starting at $99

Samsung started selling officially refurbished Galaxy phones several years ago and has kept up the program in the years since. Currently, the company is running a promo where you can get any “Re-Newed” Samsung Galaxy phone with at least $350 in trade-in credit for any smartphone trade-in, making for some compelling offers.

As it stands today, Samsung sells “Re-Newed” Galaxy S21, S22, and S23 series devices. All models are discounted from the new versions, with the cheapest being a refurbished Galaxy S21 at $449 and the most expensive being a Galaxy S23 Ultra (512GB) for $1,069. These devices get replacement parts including batteries and screens, and are effectively brand new in all of the ways that matter most.

But, still, those prices can often be a little hard to swallow for last-gen hardware. With a new trade-in offer, though, Samsung has something considerably more enticing.

For all currently-available “Re-Newed” Galaxy phones, Samsung is offering a minimum trade-in credit of $350 for any smartphone. This can include any old Galaxy or Pixel devices, any old iPhone, or phones from LG, OnePlus, and more. As long as it’s working and doesn’t have a cracked display, it’ll net at least $350. Cracked devices get at least $150.

$350 isn’t the highest value, either, as working devices can get up to $559 towards a Galaxy S23 Ultra, though the highest figures are largely reserved for trading in the latest iPhone models (where the math certainly doesn’t work in your favor).

That minimum $350 credit, though, can leave your “Re-Newed” phone heavily discounted. The lowest price can be found on getting a Galaxy S21 for as little as $99, which is actually a solid deal despite that device only having one more major Android update left.

The Galaxy S23 at $269 after trade-in is perhaps the best overall deal here, especially if you’re coming from an old device. That extra cash will also go a long way in terms of keeping the device up to date for longer.

We’ve broken down the values below.

Starting priceWith $350 trade-inWith maximum trade-in value
Galaxy S21$449$99$99
Galaxy S21+$599$249$151
Galaxy S21 Ultra$749$399$190

It’s unclear how long this offer will last, and it’s only available from Samsung.com.
