According to the latest report out of Korea, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series will see a release date of February 7.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra on January 22 as several leaks have confirmed, but the company isn’t set to actually release the new series on that date. Rather, FNNews reports that Samsung will release these new devices on February 7, just over two weeks later. That’s in line with previous years. Galaxy S24 was launched on January 17 and then released on January 31.
Ahead of the Galaxy S25 release date, the report says that Samsung will continue pre-orders as it always does, while also offering “reservations” as it has for the past several Galaxy launches. These reservations often bring a discount or credit, as well as some boosted trade-in values during the pre-order period.
The report goes on to mention points we’ve heard before including expanding 16GB of RAM on the Galaxy S25 Ultra to the 512GB storage variant, the likelihood that Samsung will only be using Snapdragon 8 Elite chips, and One UI 7 out of the box.
It’s also mentioned that, at Samsung’s January event, we’ll see the Galaxy S25 “Slim” that’s been reported on previously, but that the thinner device will be released later on. It’s still not yet been mentioned how much thinner the “Slim” will be.
The big worry around all of this, though, is price. The report brings out that Samsung is internally concerned about price resistance among customers as the company’s costs for building the Galaxy S25 series has gone up. It’s still not clear how that will be reflected in the final product, though.
