Your Galaxy S25 is probably going to be more expensive

Smartphone prices have gone way up over the past few years, and it sounds like Samsung’s Galaxy S25 won’t be an exception to the rule with a price hike reportedly incoming.

As we reported previously, the Galaxy S25 is likely to get more expensive in certain regions, and new data is backing that up.

SamMobile recently highlighted early listings from a European retailer that pinned down the Galaxy S25 series prices starting at around €975 for the base Galaxy S25, and going up to around €1,575 for the base Galaxy S25 Ultra. Those prices likely aren’t final, as they land on odd prices such as €1,036 and €1,696, but it’s a good indication of what might be coming.

Beyond that, FNNews says that Galaxy S25 price are expected to “slightly” increase. This is due to increased manufacturing costs including storage and memory bumps. It’s unclear what storage increases are referred to here, but the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to offer 16GB of RAM in more variants this year. As previously mentioned, too, the current exchange rate between the Korean won and the US dollar is also playing a role.

Samsung apparently considered “freezing” the price to match Galaxy S24 out of fears for “sluggish” sales, but ultimately ended up choosing to raise the price. It still remains to be seen how widely Galaxy S25 prices will be going up, though.

The report closes by going over Samsung’s 2025 lineup which includes more budget-oriented devices such as Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy Z Flip FE.
