Oppo won’t launch the Find N5 in Europe after all

It seems that US users won’t be alone in missing out on Oppo’s latest and greatest foldable, as the company has now confirmed that the Find N5 won’t be launching in Europe.

The Oppo Find N5 launched earlier this week as the new record holder for being the “world’s thinnest” foldable and, as we mentioned in our hands-on impressions, it’s a pretty incredible device.

That’s why it’s pretty disappointing to see that the Oppo Find N5 won’t be making its way to many markets. While the company called the Find N5’s launch “global,” that apparently excludes the entirety of Europe, the company confirmed in a statement shared with The Tech Chap and others this week.

At OPPO, we carefully tailor our product launchers to each region based on in-depth market research and strategic priorities.

The Find N5 will not be launching in Europe. Instead, In Q1 2025, we will introduce the Reno13 series across Europe on February 24, offering consumers more choices with cutting-edge AI features and stylish, trend-forward designs. Stay tuned for updates.

In its announcement of the Find N5, the company also directly said that “Find N5 marks a new phase in OPPO’s global expansion.”

The Find N5 is launching in Singapore, but other launch markets have yet to be announced. Presumably, other markets in Asia will get the device, and it’s also available in China, but the “global” launch certainly isn’t as wide as many hoped, or as was implied.

Last week, OnePlus confirmed that the Open 2 won’t be released this year.
