Gemini prompts now let you upload multiple images

A quality-of-life improvement to the Gemini app lets users upload up to 10 images per prompt on Android, iOS, and the web.

Previously, Gemini only let you upload one image with each prompt. If you attempted to attach another one, Google displayed a “Replace current? – Adding a new image will remove the current one” warning.

The Android and iOS system gallery pickers now let you select up to 10 photos. This also works with Gemini’s built-in Camera. After taking an image, you can open the viewfinder again. Be sure to force stop the mobile app if you don’t see this capability yet.

On gemini.google.com, Google will only upload 10 images: “Some of your files could not be uploaded because you can only upload 10 attachments at a time.” This works with all current models: 2.0 Flash, 2.5 Flash, and 2.5 Pro.

In announcing the wide rollout this afternoon, Gemini lead Josh Woodward asks users to submit the “most common things that cause grumpiness” and other issues.
