New Mous Pixel Watch 4 Charger is the first 3rd-party dock with ‘official’ hardware

Mous has released the first official, third-party dock for the Pixel Watch 4. It comes just over two months after the wearable launched with its new charging system.

The “Mous Pixel Watch Charger” is a rectangular pad (in Matte Black) with a mount for the Pixel Watch 4 at the center. That base is made from 35% recycled polycarbonate aluminum alloy, while the USB-C cable on the back detaches.

Of note is how it’s “built with official Google Pixel Watch charging hardware.” Existing solutions on the market are basically rubber cases for Google’s charging base.

It provides “5.6W contact charging” and requires “7.5W+ input for full performance.” Mous touts “dual-part authentication IC” for “safe charging.” There are Pogo connectors on the left edge that allow for “modular upgrades with other Mous charging accessories.”

It’s billed as having a “compact, travel-ready form” that’s presumably in reference to the detachable cable. That is nice, especially if you find the 1 meter cable on Google’s Quick Charge Dock too short for your setup.

This Mous Pixel Watch Charger is $49.99 and currently only available on the Google Store. (We don’t see it on the manufacturer’s site or Amazon.) In the box, you get a 1.5m USB-C to USB-C cable.

Google’s Pixel Watch 4 charger is $29.99, so this new accessory comes at a premium.
