OnePlus ‘Turbo’ certainly looks like a phone with a big battery in leaked images [Gallery]

OnePlus has already confirmed its plans to launch a new “Turbo” series of devices, and a leak offers up a first look at the new design that’s… not really what we expected.

Recently, OnePlus announced that it would launch new “Turbo” phones designed primarily for gaming, with big batteries seemingly being the key selling point. Rumor has it that these devices will have 9,000 mAh batteries inside, which is larger than we see in most tablets, and obviously far more than most modern smartphones.

Now, we might be getting a first look. The folks over at Android Headlines published a batch of images showing what is claimed to be the lesser-powered of the two OnePlus “Turbo” devices, codenamed “Prado.”

The images show a device with a design not all that different from the OnePlus 15, but with a clearly thicker design and a light green color with glossy glass on the back. It’s certainly not as flashy as your typical gaming phone, but it certainly does look like a device with a huge battery inside.

One of the images shows an “About” page that’s thought to be spoofed, as is a relatively common practice among a number of Chinese Android OEMs.

Meanwhile, there are rumblings that OnePlus intends to release these devices outside of China, but it’s unclear just how widely it might be available.
