In a few days, Samsung will announce the Galaxy S26 series and the key changes that come with it, and newly leaked specs detail those changes ahead of time. They aren’t as dramatic as some may have hoped.
The reality seems to be that Samsung is bringing yet another wave of incremental changes to the flagship series. The Galaxy S26, S6+, and S26 Ultra will get their fair share of improvements, but nothing stands out as a must-have upgrade.
Thanks to WinFuture, the Galaxy S26 series’ datasheets are now available to peruse. The devices will be powered by the in-house Exynos 2600 CPU in Europe, while US models will get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, as expected. In every single model, the floor is 12GB of RAM. The S26 Ultra can, of course, come with 16GB in more expensive models.
One aspect that doesn’t get a big change is the screen, but just the size. According to that leaked spec sheet, the Galaxy S26 will get a 6.3-inch display, while the last-minute sub Galaxy S26+ should get a 6.7-inch display. Rumors stated the device might see a small increase, but this leak says otherwise.
The leak doesn’t detail Samsung’s Privacy Display for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but it does specify a 6.9-inch screen. All models carry Samsung’s AMOLED 2X panels, with an increased resolution on the Ultra.
Even without full Qi2.2 compatibility and the attraction that comes with it, the Galaxy S26 series will still bring higher wireless charging rates. That means a 15W rate for the Galaxy S26 and S26+, while the S26 Ultra is looking at 25W. On the wired side, the leak confirms the Galaxy S26 series will get 25W, 45W, and 60W wired fast charging, respectively, for each model.
That’s an improvement over the mostly unchanged battery capacities. The only device that appears to get a boost is the base Galaxy S26, which will see a small bump to 4,300mAh. The S26+ and S26 Ultra will remain at 4,900mAh and 5,000mAh hours. It was rumored very early on that Samsung may upgrade the Galaxy S26 Ultra to a larger 5,500mAh cell, but those appear to be off the mark, if this most recent leak proves true.
Samsung appears to also be making slight adjustments to the camera array for each device. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ are looking at very small modifications to the ultrawide and telephoto cameras. WinFuture‘s leaked specs point out that each setup on the Galaxy S26 and S26+ seems to bring a reduced maximum aperture. The 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto units will make up the rear camera array for both devices.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra, however, sees the biggest camera upgrade, though still small. The maximum aperture has been increased almost entirely across the board. The main 200MP unit, for instance, brings a max f/1.4 stop. The phone will also have a 50MP telephoto camera and a 50MP ultrawide unit.
As expected, all three phones will come with One UI 8.5 pre-loaded. This is the first series to come out since Samsung committed to its new schedule for One UI releases. The version of Android 16 should offer some nice improvements, but don’t expect anything incredibly trend-setting. That stuff is reserved for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 launch, supposedly.
