Samsung will restock the Galaxy Z TriFold in the US later this month

After months — years, even — of rumors and leaks, Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold hit store shelves at the tail end of January. Even at an eye-watering price of $2,899, the company managed to sell out of its initial units nearly immediately. Now we know when Samsung might put more up for sale, and just how many were available to begin with.

According to reporting from The Chosun Daily, Samsung’s initial run in the US last month included “thousands” of units, with a similar amount of Galaxy Z TriFolds as what was available in Korea during its December launch. Despite a significantly higher price in the US — the TriFold sells for ~₩3.6 million in Korea, or about $2,500 — the company ran out of stock both online and in its handful of physical retail stores across the country, with the store page currently allowing fans to sign up for availability notifications in their email.

That wait might not extend too much longer. Today’s report suggests a US-bound restock is set to happen sometime in February, leaving only about two and a half weeks for those new shipments to arrive. With Galaxy Unpacked heavily rumored for a February 25th date, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the TriFold pop back up online prior to the Galaxy S26’s pre-order phase. That said, there are no specific dates here outside of this February window.

If you’re still waiting to pick up Samsung’s first-ever tri-folding smartphone, I’d recommend signing up on Samsung’s store page ahead of time. While it won’t guarantee your spot in line, that email notification is one of your best bets for grabbing a unit on this next restock. After all, if demand really is this high, even that price tag isn’t going to keep rival shoppers from scooping one up.
