Nothing Phone (4a) series costs over €400 as prices, specs, release date leak

The writing has been on the wall for a while now, with Nothing Phone (4a) expected to see a price hike. Now, a new report nails down the pricing right as the core specs have leaked.

Dealabs reports that the Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro will be arriving later in March following a launch event confirmed for March 5. The two phones will apparently both be seeing notable price hikes compared to the Phone (3a) series, as Nothing founder Carl Pei previously said would be the case.

Nothing Phone (4a) is said to carry a starting price of around €400, give or take €10 depending on your country. Dealabs says the starting price in Germany and Spain will be €389, while it would be €409 in France, Belgium, and Italy. That’s for the base 8GB RAM model, with an upgraded version with 12GB of RAM jumping to €429/€449. The article appears to have a typo claiming both versions would have 256GB of storage.

It’s a jump of about €50 over the Nothing Phone (3a).

Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is said to see an even bigger jump of €90, with a starting price of €479 in Germany and Spain, and €499 in France, Belgium, and Italy, with the 12GB variant jumping to €549/€569.

The report also details release dates for the Nothing Phone (4a) series, with the base Phone (4a) apparently releasing on March 12, with the Pro potentially delayed a bit to March 26.

Dealabs also mentions that Phone (4a) would include a new triple-camera system with a trio of 50MP sensors, while it retains the “Glyph Bar” lighting and gets a 6.78-inch display. Phone (4a) Pro, meanwhile, is said to have better optical zoom, use a 50MP Sony sensor for its main camera, have an aluminum chassis, a slightly larger 6.83-inch 144Hz display, and pick up a “Glyph Matrix” display on the back similar to Phone (3).

Android Headlines adds in a separate report – which claims the Dealabs report is incorrect on some aspects – that the base Nothing Phone (4a) will be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a 5,400 mAh battery with 50W charging, and offer IP65 dust/water resistance. The main disparity between the two report is that AH claims the Phone (4a) will have an 8MP ultrawide on the back rather than having three 50MP sensors. The telephoto is said to be 3.5x. (There are no obvious signs of AI in this report, something we have to check now.)

Update: Dealabs has updated its post to remove mention of three 50MP cameras while corroborating the 3.5x optical zoom mention. AH, meanwhile, updated its post to mention that “Nothing Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro share the same battery, processor, and telephoto camera.”

Both reports mention that the base Nothing Phone (4a) will offer black, white, pink, and blue colors, while Dealabs reports that Phone (4a) Pro will come in black, silver, and pink colors. Neither mentions the yellow that was rumored and teased in Nothing’s promos.
