OnePlus 15T packs a 7,500 mAh battery into a Pixel 10-sized design, launching in China

The new OnePlus 15T packs a huge battery into a phone the size of Google’s Pixel 10, but it’s sadly only launching in China – something we’ll probably be saying about most OnePlus devices going forward.

Following up on last year’s OnePlus 13T, the OnePlus 15T is a “compact” take on a flagship device. It has the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset as the full OnePlus 15, but with a smaller 6.32-inch display.

The OnePlus 15T is actually almost the same size as the Google Pixel 10, with a couple of millimeters shaved off of every part of the OnePlus device. It’s got some serious power for its size, especially when you look at the battery.

Where the Pixel 10 has a mere 4,970 mAh battery, the OnePlus 15T is packing a 7,500 mAh dual-cell battery. That’s even bigger than the OnePlus 13T’s 6,280 mAh battery, which was already pretty huge for the size. It’s somehow also bigger than the OnePlus 15’s 7,300 mAh battery, despite the considerable difference in physical size. How? As per usual, silicon-carbon tech, which allows for better energy density in the same footprint as traditional smartphone batteries.

The rest of the OnePlus 15T’s spec sheet remains impressive, with 12GB/16GB of RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.1 storage, a pair of 50MP cameras (wide and 3.5x telephoto), IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, 100W wired charging, and more.

GSMArena notes that OnePlus 15T starts at around $625 when converted from its CNY 4,299 pricing in China. The OnePlus 15T went on sale today, March 25, in China, but there’s no word on any sort of global launch. Last year, the OnePlus 13s launched in regions outside of China but, given that we’ve recently heard that OnePlus could be shutting down global operations as soon as April, the future for this device remains wildly uncertain.
