Samsung’s next big update, One UI 8.5, is now in beta on these older Galaxy devices

After months in beta on the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung’s One UI 8.5 update is now expanding to a host of other Galaxy devices including foldables, last-gen flagships, mid-rangers, and more.

Confirmed by Samsung today, One UI 8.5 is officially now in beta on several more older Galaxy devices. This comes as the eighth beta lands on Galaxy S25 devices, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 gets its second update too.

Galaxy devices supported by the One UI 8.5 beta now include:

  • Galaxy S25 (Beta 8)
  • Galaxy S25+ (Beta 8)
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra (Beta 8)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 7 (Beta 2)
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 (Beta 2)
  • New: Galaxy Z Fold 6
  • New: Galaxy Z Flip 6
  • New: Galaxy S25 FE
  • New: Galaxy S24
  • New: Galaxy S24+
  • New: Galaxy S24 Ultra
  • New: Galaxy S24 FE

The update is available in Korea, the UK, the US, India, and some other regions as well.

Samsung first added its current-generation foldables to the lineup earlier this month. As mentioned, the current S25 beta update is on Beta 8 as of this week.

Users on all of these devices can access the One UI 8.5 beta program via the Samsung Members app. A banner will appear in the app to walk users through enrollment. The process changed a bit when One UI 8 was released, and that holds true for One UI 8.5’s program.

One UI 8.5 is pre-installed on the Galaxy S26 series and should start rolling out as a stable update to more devices in the not-too-distant future. Samsung teases that additional Galaxy devices will join the program in April.
