Even with the rumors that OnePlus is falling by the wayside and shutting doors, the expected OnePlus Watch 4 from the brand is reportedly being readied for a global debut, according to a recent leak.
Courtesy of a new Twitter/X leak, images of the OnePlus Watch 4 packaging are now available online. The three images showcase two variants of the rugged watch, as well as import details on the bottom of the box.
From the looks of it, the OnePlus Watch 4 will be a global release. The packaging appears to be intended for the UK, implying the company wants to bring the wearable to the wider market outside of its immediate vicinity in China.
This leak also confirms the OnePlus Watch 4 design. It takes on a sort of Royal Oak look with a sporty 2-o’clock crown. The watch is expected to come with several silicone band options in green and black. Previous leaks indicate the display will be similar to the Watch 3 before it, with an increased case size of 43mm. The only true change seems to be a bump to IP69 water and dust resistance.
Internally, the Watch 4 is expected to carry a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset. That may indicate a focus on battery life and efficiency over raw power. As rugged as the watch is intended to look, long battery life may be key.
This all hinges on whether or not OnePlus intends to stay afloat. The company has recently begun shutting down operations in India on the retail front, and has confirmed its global business is “restructuring.” There’s nothing concrete to say the entire company is closing doors, but OnePlus is seemingly moving a lot around on the backend.
The OnePlus Watch 4 may be a sign that the company plans to keep selling devices, though it could also be one of the last ends to tie up before bigger changes.
