Samsung says Galaxy Z TriFold’s ‘limited run’ is now ‘completely sold out’

Following one last restock earlier this month, Samsung now says that the “limited-run” Galaxy Z TriFold is “completely sold out” both online and in stores.

The Galaxy Z TriFold launched just a few months ago as Samsung’s first three-pane foldable, and it got a lot of attention. The unique device consisted of two hinges that opened up to reveal a 10-inch inner display that was bigger and wider than basically any other foldable on the market today.

Suddenly, Samsung pulled the plug on the foldable in March.

After just a couple of months on sale, Samsung discontinued the Galaxy Z TriFold, a device it now refers to as a “limited-run” product in an update to the TriFold’s listing on Samsung.com. The last restock in the US was on April 10.

Samsung has updated that same listing, which previously told customers to check Samsung Experience stores for TriFold stock, that the device is “now completely sold out” and directs interested customers to buy a Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The limited-run Galaxy Z TriFold is now completely sold out. Keep visiting samsung.com to make sure you don’t miss upcoming one-of-a-kind innovations, and shop the latest foldables and premium mobile devices now from Samsung Galaxy.

As was the case previously, the rest of the page dives into what sets the TriFold apart, saying that it “pushes the limits of foldable technology for an experience unlike any other” and advertising features such as DeX.

Samsung previously didn’t refer to the TriFold as a “limited run” product and, as recently as April 15, pointed to Samsung stores as a place interested buyers could obtain a TriFold.

Nowhere on the page does Samsung explicitly say the Galaxy Z TriFold won’t make a comeback, but that’s what has previously been reported. So, if you were hoping to buy a TriFold, the window has closed. Samsung is thought to be working on a sequel in the future but, for now, we just have new book-style devices to look forward to later this year.

We certainly do hope there’s a sequel – it’d be a shame to let this futuristic foldable fade away.
