Google announces $29 Pixel Tag coming in November with UWB [Hands-on]

At Made by Google 2026, Google announced the Pixel Tag as a first-party Find Hub tracker that’s coming later this year.

It features a pill-shaped design that is 1.8 by 1.1 inches and 5.4 mm thick. On the silver metal face, you’ll find a “G’ logo and speaker cutout underneath. The plastic “Fog” back has a circular cutout to remove (press down and twist) the CR2032 coin cell battery that’s rated for over one year of usage.

The Pixel Tag feels unexpectedly thin in hand, with Google saying it is “designed to resist flexing and cracking.” A button on the Tag lets you find and ring your phone, while there are “Left Behind” alerts to help prevent leaving items behind.

Under the hood, you’ll find an accelerometer, speaker, Bluetooth, and Ultra Wideband for Precision Finding with “visual distance and directional cues” for guidance that works within 50 meters. The Pixel Tag works with Android 9 and later. A Fast Pair prompt means you just have to remove the battery tab and bring it close to your phone.

Made of polycarbonate and metal, the Pixel Tag is available in one color, Fog, with IP67 (maximum depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes) splash, water, and dust resistance.

Google will offer a keychain loop that frames the tag.

The Pixel Tag costs $29, with a 4-pack available for $99. The Pixel Tag will be available on November 11.
