Nothing Phone (3) at $499 might be the best smartphone deal you can get, today-only

Nothing Phone (3) is far from perfect but, at $499, it’s an absolute steal in an ever-more expensive Android smartphone market.

A one-day-only sale on Amazon has cut the Nothing Phone (3) from its usual $799 price down to just $499 – nearly 40% off and an insanely good deal. That’s for the 12GB + 256GB model, with the 16GB + 512GB model similarly discounted down to $599.

While Nothing Phone (3) launched in 2025, it holds up pretty well today, including with an Android 17 update already scheduled in the next couple of months. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip could be viewed as a downside, but at $499, that’s a whole lot more powerful than virtually anything else you can find at this price point.

Pixel 10a is the strongest hitter in this category, but with 8GB of RAM, 2024’s Tensor G4 chip, and fewer camera lenses on board, Nothing Phone (3) is a much better value across the board. The only thing worth noting is that Google’s phone gets more years of software support, with Nothing pulling the plug around 2030.

The design of Phone (3) is polarizing, but Nothing continues to iterate on the software side and, at its core, we found Nothing’s “flagship” to be a solid option. From our review:

Nothing Phone (3) is, as the sum of its parts, a good phone, just like the Phone (3a) series proved earlier this year. And the company’s vision for AI, while a little ambitious, definitely has some potential… After using it for the past few months, I actually think it’s a pretty good option for its price. Compared to the base Pixel 10 at the same price, you’re getting better battery life, a bigger screen (assuming you want it), and a roughly equivalent package in terms of cameras. It all comes down to personal preferences around size, software, and features.

If you’re in the market for a new phone right now, today’s deal is absolutely worth considering. What do you think?
