After the last firmware release in August, Google is rolling out a new software update to the Nest Wifi Pro with Mesh improvements. The router is over two years old at this point.
Software version 3.74.442328 (from 3.73.x) is rolling out as of December 18 with the following changelog:
- Improved Wi-Fi Mesh connection stability and roaming experience
- Improved the switching speed when roaming between Mesh AP and points
- Other stability and security vulnerability fixes
Like with the last one, this is a more substantial upgrade that looks to improve the Nest Wifi Pro experience across multiple points by increasing stability and switching speeds.
We’re already seeing a slightly newer version (3.74.447573) installed on our devices. Nest Wifi Pro updates occur overnight in the background.
To check, open the Google Home app and find your Nest Wifi Pro in the Favorites or Devices tab. Tap the settings gear icon in the top-right corner for Devices settings. The Software version is listed under Device settings.
This follows an update to the Nest Wifi router and point in October, while the Google Wifi’s last changelog entry is September 2022.
