Android 16 November update rolling out: Pixel emergency calling, camera fixes

The final update to Android 16 QPR1 is rolling out with the November security patch for the 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold, 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. This release is accompanied by an out of cycle Feature Drop.

There are 2 security issues resolved in the Android 16 November patch dated 2025-11-01. Vulnerabilities range from high to critical.

The dedicated bulletin for Google devices lists no additional security fixes.

All devices benefit from improvements to charging and battery usage, as well as a fix for “instability and intermittent problems with emergency calling functionality under certain conditions.” Apps not loading “under certain conditions” has also been addressed.

Google has also addressed audio instability and performance slowdowns on the Pixel 8 and newer.

The Pixel 9 and 10 series also get a fix for a rainbow-like color pattern when using the ultrawide or telephoto lenses.
