As RAMageddon’s impact only gets worse, Samsung is increasing prices on a number of Galaxy smartphones, again.
Samsung has raised prices on some of its high-end Galaxy devices, but mostly in regards to higher storage configurations. Back in April, a number of devices, including tablets, saw price hikes too. But it’s Samsung’s budget lineup that’s been hit the hardest, and the blows keep coming.
SamMobile details that, effective as of July 4, Samsung is raising prices on a number of low-end Galaxy smartphones in India. This is apparently the fifth price hike for these devices in recent memory.
The price hikes here are by about ₹1,000 (INR), or about $10~ USD when directly converted. Not a major difference, but after four other price changes, it certainly adds up. Looking at the Galaxy A06 5G, for example, the base model originally launched last year for ₹10,499 and now costs ₹14,999 for the same 4GB + 64GB configuration.
Affected devices in this latest round include:
- Galaxy A06 5G, now starting at ₹14,999
- Galaxy A07 4G, now starting at ₹11,999
- Galaxy A07 5G, now starting at ₹17,999
- Galaxy A17 5G, now starting at ₹23,499
- Galaxy F07 4G, now starting at ₹11,399
- Galaxy F17 5G, now starting at ₹19,999
- Galaxy M07 4G, now starting at ₹11,399
It’s not just the base configurations going up, with other storage tiers also going up by ₹1,000.
It’s rough out there.
