Nearly a decade in, foldables have come a long way. Even Apple has noticed all of the fun Android users are having with their bendable smartphones, jumping into the crowd with next month’s iPhone Duo. Unfortunately, you usually need to break an arm and a leg to afford one, but with this one-day-only deal on the last-gen Galaxy Z Fold 7 at Amazon, your entry fee to the foldable club is down to the price of modern slab flagships. You’ll need to hurry though, as this deal is already halfway to selling out.
Amazon is selling Samsung’s excellent 2025 foldable flagship Galaxy Z Fold 7 unlocked for just $1,350 today, reduced even further from the ~$1,500 price point it’s held since its successors launched in mid-summer. This model comes in just a single colorway and storage combination — mint, 256GB — but assuming you aren’t picky, it’s a great price for a foldable that really doesn’t feel all that last-gen in your daily life.
While this year’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra acts as a successor to this model, what’s actually improved on the 2026 release makes for a pretty short list. Sure, the upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Elite to the 8 Elite Gen 5 is nice to see, and the brighter, anti-reflective main display is hard to argue with. But really, the only big difference between the two is the Fold 8 Ultra’s larger 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. You’ll have to settle for a smaller 4,400mAh cell — along with slower 25W charging speeds — though that should be enough to get you through all but your most taxing of days.
Even with a couple of minor sacrifices, considering the way smartphone prices are trending, scoring a foldable for just $50 more than Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is hard to argue with. Amazon also supports trade-ins, meaning Pixel and Galaxy users can save up to a further $575 on the total price. It might not have that fancy anti-reflective display or a silicon-carbon battery — nor does it have the passport shape seen on the base Fold 8 — but for $1,350, it’s the best deal we’ve seen on a foldable in a while. You’ll have to hurry though, as this deal only goes until the end of today, or until sold out.
