The latest Henry Cavill promo for Googlebook has arrived and, with it, some Justice League deja vu as the star’s mustache has vanished between the first two ads.
Shot at the Googlebook launch night party, the second notable Googlebook promo starring Henry Cavill sees the actor clean-shaven in a throwback to 2017’s mustache debacle.
At the time, Cavill had grown in facial hair for Mission Impossible: Fallout, but reshoots for Justice League forced the DC film to edit out Cavill’s mustache and beard which, well, looked like that.
Nothing nearly as serious is going on during the Googlebook promo – we’re just having a bit of fun over here.
Google partnered with Cavill around the Googlebook launch as the actor is also a tech enthusiast, PC gamer, and an Android user.
Around Googlebook, Cavill previously said:
When Google reached out to me and explained what they are doing with Googlebook, and all of its new, integrated tools, it had me intrigued. So, I asked for the opportunity to have a play with it ahead of release. After being hands on and spending some time with their team, I believe this has the potential to be the start of something rather special. Time and technology are marching forward at a breakneck pace, this, and all that Google are trying to do with it, has the whispers of the next generation.
Cavill is building out a video game using Googlebook and Google’s tools, with a landing page on Google’s website around the project.
