According to Bloomberg, U.S. District Judge Robert Wilkins just approved Google’s $700 million purchase of travel data company ITA Software Inc., only after Google agreed to certain conditions.
What are the conditions? Google will have to provide travel data to rival search-engines and also allow government review of any complaints raised related to unfair practices regarding the acquisition and resulting services.
The tech acquired by Google through the ITA purchase just went into a new travel search service launched in select cities early last month.
