Verizon schedules Oct. 28 press event for new DROID unveiling

Following a number of leaks for an upcoming new DROID device from Verizon, we’ve now received word that Verizon has scheduled an Oct. 28 press event specifically to unveil its latest DROID product. While we know that the event will focus on the latest DROID device from the carrier, we can only assume it’s the DROID Turbo leaked through official Verizon channels in recent weeks (pictured above).

Verizon also has an official teaser and countdown for the event on its website.

Other than confirming a new DROID unveiling will take place at the event later this month, we don’t have many other details apart from speculation based on previous leaks. The previously leaked DROID Turbo device pictured above is expected to feature a 5.2-inch qHD display with capacitive navigation keys, a Snapdragon 805 processor and a 3,900mAh battery. Other specs include a 21MP rear facing camera with dual LED flash, wireless charging capabilities, and 3GB of RAM.

The device was also previously rumoured to get an unveiling later this month, so it seems likely we’ll indeed get our eyes on it at Verizon October 28 even
