After placing a heavy focus on audio in the HTC 10, the company revealed that it was working with JBL to create one of the first pairs of earbuds powered by USB C. The JBL Reflect Aware C offer both digital audio and active noise cancellation along with a sweat-proof design. After being announced earlier this year, these headphones are now available for sale.
The Reflect Aware C were never going to be particularly cheap, but now that the listing on HTC’s website has gone live, we learn that these headphones are sold for $199 (yikes).
The previously announced JBL Reflect Aware, powered by a Lightning connector, came in at $160, so it shouldn’t be too shocking that there’s a premium on this model.
JBL earphones even let you adjust noise levels so that you can hear as much, or as little, of your surroundings as you like. And they’re made to take anywhere, with USB-C support, an sweat-proof, tangle-free reflective cables, ergonomic ear-tips and in-line microphone.
So far HTC is the only retailer offering these headphones, but they should be coming to other retailers at some point. If you’re interested right now, head over to the company’s website to pick them up. If you recently purchased an HTC 10, these might be a good way to use the $100 accessories credit available with the purchase of that device.
