Rumored OnePlus 3T to cost an additional $80 with LCD panel and Snapdragon 821 in tow

We’ve heard rumors of a OnePlus 3 refresh for a few weeks, originally kickstarted by a lack of stock and a shortage of materials. Now, a new report is offering a bit more detail as to what we can expect with the device..

That refresh, originally dubbed the “OnePlus 3S,” was rumored to replace the OnePlus 3 in its current form dropping the AMOLED panel for an LCD and upgrading the processor to the newer Snapdragon 821. Since then OnePlus has denied the move from AMOLED, leading many to believe the “3T” coild be an entirely new device.

Aside from the upgraded processor and swap in display technology, OnePlus could be planning to upgrade the resolution as well.

However, if famous leakster Evan Blass is to be believed, the 3T may cost $80 more than the current OnePlus 3. We can only hope that based on that price more will be added, perhaps water resistance? As of now, we don’t know.

However, seeing that a new OnePlus model number has made its way through Chinese regulatory agencies recently, this new model seems more and more likely.
