If you’re a Chrome user, apps and extensions are most likely a major part of your web browsing experience. While these different types of software tools often make life easier for us, they tend have a lot going on behind the scenes. To help keep people in the know, Google has added an audit feature to its standalone Chrome Apps Developer Tool.
This new utensil lets you see exactly what apps and extensions are up to from the moment you launch them. Once installed, the new Chrome Apps and Extensions Developer Tool will audit your browser’s add-ons in real time, as well as create a historical log of their daily activities. Although this new instrument may not appeal to casual customers, Chrome’s power users will most likely enjoy being able to take a peek behind the magician’s curtain.
