Switch.co launches new enterprise phone system built around Google Apps for Work

A group of ex-Googlers led by former Google Voice product manager Craig Walker have teamed up to create Switch.co, a cloud-based business phone system that stretches across multiple platforms such as desktop, mobile and landlines. Built with Google Apps for Work in mind, users can also view messages from Gmail, access their Calendar, Drive documents and even start a Hangout directly from a phone call.

Similar to Google Voice, Switch.co users are assigned a single phone number that rings across multiple devices. Loaded with robust transfer features, a person can seamlessly migrate a call from their smartphone to an office landline without having to end the conversation. Similar to a standard wireless service, the virtual business phone service also ships with popular features like visual voicemail and SMS support.

Billed as easy to use, Switch Communication co-founders Brian Peterson and John Rector claim that business admins should be able to get the service up and running over the course of a lunch break. Switch.co will cost your business around $15 per employee and as of right now the company is accepting sign-ups for a private beta program for a limited number of users.
