Google’s Nexus Player returns to the Play Store for pre-order (update)

About as quick as Google added its Nexus Player to Google Play, the company quickly pulled its new media player from its online store due to issues with the FCC. However, over the weekend, documents for the upcoming Android TV set-top box were spotted in an FCC database and today the search giant has restored Google Play pre-orders.

Despite having a projected launch date of November 3rd, Google Play’s Nexus Player listing has a shipping time of three to four weeks. Hopefully these are placeholder times and Google will update them as we get closer to the device’s release. As for the media hub’s optional $40 game controller, it’s currently listed as out of stock.

Update: The Nexus Player is now listed as out of stock with Google advising to check back soon.
