With the latest installment in the Mission Impossible series set for a theatrical release later this month on July 31st, an official Android game for the movie has just launched on Google Play.
Developed by Glu, the action/adventure game bears the same name as the film, Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation, and offers a number of free-to-play levels set in locations from the movie. The gameplay, a mix of first- and third-person action scenes that for the most part put you behind a firearm of some sort, seems to take a lot after other popular Glu developed titles such as Contract Killer.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it… Join the Impossible Mission Force (IMF) to infiltrate secure locations and eliminate high-profile targets, perform lethal strikes and confront the Syndicate. Travel across the globe to exotic locations like Morocco, London, and Vienna to collect intelligence and take on enemy threats. Choose among story, heavy gun, gauss rifle, repeatable, and stealth missions to accomplish your goal of eliminating the Syndicate once and for all. Join other players to build an agency, complete missions and earn team rewards. Communicate with fellow IMF agents through chat to share tips and tricks. This message will self-destruct…
The game is free to download and play, but it offers a number of paid in-app purchases for in-game items. You’ll need network connection to play, and you’ll also find some ads in this free app.
