Huawei’s upcoming Nexus phone is as good as revealed already, but with further leaked evidence hitting the web over the past couple of days, there’s now very little we don’t know about the Huawei Nexus 6P. A series of images posted to Imgur (revealed by Android Police) lists many of the Nexus 6P’s features and specifications.
Corroborating previous leaks and rumors, the presentation features an all-metal device with a slight hump on the back where the camera is housed. A recent leak showed four colors for the Nexus 6P, and this presentation adds further credence to that leak. In most markets, we’ll see three colors: Aluminum, Graphite and Frost. Huawei is also building a gold model which will only be available in Japan to start. It also looks like rumors of having 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options were correct.
On the front, it’s almost certain that we’ll see a large 5.7-inch WQHD resolution display, the same resolution found in the current Nexus 6, and a number of other flagship Android smartphones. One notable spec is the processor being used. Although early predictions suggested we would see a Snapdragon 820 processor, Qualcomm has revealed that the chip won’t be ready for commercial use until 2016. It’s no surprise then that we’re likely to see a revised version of the problematic Snapdragon 810 processor inside the Nexus 6P.
This presentation confirms many other rumors we’ve previously seen, including the rear-placed fingerprint sensor, and USB Type-C port as well as have a much better camera than the Motorola Nexus 6. If the slides are accurate (which I highly suspect they are), there’s little Google can unveil which will surprise us at its event next week.
