Chromebook Plus models see first discounts
Best Buy is now offering the first discounts on a series of just-released Chromebook Plus models. Google first took the wraps off the new and improved Chrome OS experience at the beginning of the month, detailing all of the new features that the latest set of hardware would enable. Now you have a chance to save, as five of these new machines are on sale for the first and only times so far courtesy of Best Buy all starting from $269. There’s a minimum of $130 in savings, with new all-time lows to be had across the board.
Google’s new Chromebook Plus series helps simplify the Chrome OS lineup by mandating minimum specs that are twice as good as last year’s top-selling devices. The improved hardware means that there are some better features than your standard Chromebook, with a bigger focus on AI, added customization, and everything else you can read over in our launch coverage.

Samsung’s official Galaxy Watch 6 bands start from $28
Amazon is now marking down a collection of Samsung’s official Galaxy Watch 6 bands with free shipping across the board. With just about every style getting in on the savings, a favorite has the Hybrid Eco Leather Band with magnetic clasp starting at $63.63. It comes in several colorways – all of which are on sale – but the camel brown design is the most affordable. Each one drops from the usual $80 going rate, amounting to 20% in savings. It comes joined by a few other designs that are also all down to their best prices yet.
Samsung’s Hybrid Eco Leather Band is compatible with not just the new Galaxy Watch 6, but also previous-generation 4 and 5 series wearables. This higher-end offering features a more premium build made out of the company’s Hybrid Eco Leather material that’s more sustainable than your average alternative. It has a quick-release system for easily swapping between different bands, and uses a blend of FKM rubber and plant-based materials to deliver on that leather-like finish.

OnePlus Open foldable debuts with $200 off pre-order discount
The new OnePlus Open smartphone is now official. And to celebrate its launch, OnePlus has a new discount live for those who pre-order its first-ever foldable. The OnePlus Open now sells for $1,500. It’s down from the $1,700 price tag that will arrive when it officially begins shipping later this fall. This is, of course, the first discount so far at $200 off and comes in both Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black colorways. The new OnePlus Open arrives as the company’s first foldable smartphone. The inner display features a 7.82-inch panel, which unfolds like a book, with an outer 6.31-inch screen complementing its larger counterpart. One of the new smartphone’s claims to fame is that it’s lighter than just about any other foldable on the market, clocking in at 239 grams. The company’s usual collaboration with Hasselblad continues, offering a 48MP rear camera array on the back. All of that then comes powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
Sony’s popular XM5 ANC headphones now $329
Amazon is now offering the first chance to save in months on the popular Sony XM5 ANC Headphones. Now dropping the Midnight Blue style down to $329, today’s offer arrives from the usual $398 price tag. It’s an extra $19 under our previous mention from August, and is one of the lowest prices we’ve seen to date from Amazon. Notably, there wasn’t a fall Prime Day sale discount earlier in the month, either.

Amazon lows take up to $700 off LG 120Hz B3 OLED Smart TVs
We are now tracking the best Amazon prices yet on the 2023 model LG B3 Series Class OLED Smart TV. First up, we have the 55-inch that is now going for $996.99 shipped. Regularly $1,700 at Best Buy where it is on sale for $1,000, today’s deal is up to $703 off the going rate and the best price we can find. It, much like the larger sizes found below, delivers a new Amazon all-time low – BuyDig normally has the jump on the best prices for LG OLEDs, but it is selling this one at $1,197 right now. This is a 120Hz LG OLED panel with Dolby Vision, HDR 10, Hybrid Log-Gamma, G-SYNC (NVIDIA Adaptive Sync), and FreeSync Premium (AMD Adaptive Sync) for smooth gaming action.
