The Galaxy S24+ is likely the best option from Samsung’s new lineup. It takes on a slightly new design and, with it, a need for some extra protection. These cases from Dbrand, Thinborne, and Spigen are our favorites for the Galaxy S24+ so far.
Dbrand Grip case
Dbrand has a long-standing reputation for developing some of the best quality and most eye-catching skins for just about any smartphone on the market. Extending that design language, the company also develops cases for most flagship devices.
The Dbrand Grip case for the Galaxy S24+ takes on the same grippy design as the company’s other cases. The recipe works, and it offers phenomenal protection for the S24+ while adding friction, which makes it easier to hold on to throughout the day – no matter how sweaty your hands might get. Each side of the case houses micro bumps to add that friction. It doesn’t feel unpleasant and actually resists that oily feeling that a lot of cases take on after extended use.
Dbrand’s Grip cases aren’t the thinnest out there, but that lends itself to better protection. It’s designed to protect the S24+ at any angle, even face-first. The edges are raised around the top and bottom of the phone so falling glass-down doesn’t make a huge difference, so long as it’s dropping on a flat surface.
Of course, the Grip case also takes on Dbrand’s design. The back has a section for any of the company’s skin options. I added the Abusement Park skin to the back of my S24+, and it looks fantastic.
No matter how much I’d love to rock a skin and a skin only, I just don’t trust myself to go without a case. That’s where Dbrand’s grip case bridges the gap so a little personality can still be added.
The Grip case is also MagSafe compatible, so you can use any of your existing magnetic chargers, mounts, and so on with your Galaxy S24+.

Thinborne minimal case
As much as I love heavy protection for a phone, I also appreciate minimal cases. Recently, the rise of aramid fiber has strengthened that category, making it easier to recommend minimal cases that will protect against bumps and scratches.
The Thinborne aramid fiber case is one of our favorites, hands down. It’s made of one piece of material with small cuts around each corner to insurance it can flex if needed. Every cutout it well-placed, and it’s more than durable.
With the new flat-edged design on the Galaxy S24+, the Thinborne minimal case really shines through. In use it just looks so good and doesn’t add any bulk to the device. With this being one of the first S24 designs I’ve actually really liked in a while, having a case that lets it shine through is a big win.
The Thinborne case for the Galaxy S24+ is also MagSafe compatible, and the magnets used are pretty strong that I can comfortably mount my S24+ anywhere reliably.

Spigen Rugged Armor case
The Spigen Rugged Armor case fits right in the middle of heavy protection and minimal. It’s a flexible TPU case that’s easy to put on and take off in a second. It has a small corner bumper around each bend on the S24+ and offers a moderate amount of protection.
In the hand it feels good and looks incredibly unassuming. As cases go, the Rugged Armor is a safe bet. It doesn’t have MagSage or any other bells/whistles, but it does come in at $16.99. Of the inexpensive cases you could get, this one of probably your best bet.
