Normally only available when you purchase a new phone, Samsung Care+ covers theft, loss, and damage to your device. Now, Samsung is opening up the Care+ program for users with used devices at a 20% discount.
Samsung Care+ is essentially like any other phone protection program offered by the OEM itself. For a fee, you’ll be covered for damage to the device, such as a drop where the screen or frame breaks. The device is also covered if the phone is lost or stolen with the added theft and loss package.
Samsung announced that Samsung Care+, with theft and loss coverage, is currently in an open enrollment period. This means that anyone with eligible devices will be able to purchase Samsung Care+. In addition, Samsung Care+ is discounted at 20% off its normal rate.
Receive 20% off Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss for a limited time during Open Enrollment. Typically only available when purchasing a new Galaxy smartphone, Samsung’s open enrollment period for Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss allows you to enjoy your Galaxy phone with confidence that if an accident happens, you can easily get your device repaired or replaced, and quickly get back to your busy life. With unlimited repairs for drops, spills, batteries, and mechanical breakdowns, plus theft and loss coverage, same day replacements, and Knox Guard Security, Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss has you covered.
The program is normally only available for brand-new devices during checkout. With the open enrollment period, users can add their phones to the program. According to Samsung, users with these devices are eligible:
- Galaxy S24 series
- Galaxy Z Flip 6
- Galaxy Z Fold 6
- Galaxy A25
- Galaxy A15
This all comes after Samsung hiked the price of Care+ up in the beginning of this year. Of course, the program does offer access to unlimited repairs and up to 3 replacement devices in a yealry period.
The currently discounted Samsung Care+ is a tiered program with different price points for the basic package and the theft and loss add-on. The point of Samsung Care+ is to bring down the cost of repairs significantly and offer certain services for a low price. It can still be helpful to have on hand, especially in lieu of paying for an entirely new phone if something happens. Be sure to read the program carefully, as some services may still cost you even though you’ve purchased protection.
The open enrollment period starts today and ends on November 24.
