The OnePlus 13 is right around the corner and set to offer a gigantic battery, as well as support for magnetic wireless charging – sort of.
In the leadup to this week’s official launch of the OnePlus 13 in China, OnePlus has started drip-feeding specs and features of the device on social media. This includes more images of the device, as well as some key additions.
For one, OnePlus has confirmed previous rumors regarding the battery and charging situation. OnePlus 13 will officially have a huge 6,000 mAh battery inside, beating out the 5,400 mAh battery in the OnePlus 12. It also comes with 100W wired charging.
Beyond that, there’s also 50W wireless charging, but with an upgrade. It was rumored that OnePlus 13 would support some form of magnetic wireless charging, hopefully Qi2, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Rather, the magnetic charging would instead be enabled through a case. OnePlus has a selection of cases with this functionality as well as a 50W charging accessory and a 5,000 mAh magnetic power bank that OnePlus specifically says also works with iPhone. There’s also a new 120W wall charger with two ports.
The OnePlus 13 is set to launch later this week on October 31, but only in China for the time being. A global debut in expected in the next couple of months – probably towards January.
