One of the best features of Google TV as of late is the ability to stream a ton of free content directly from the homescreen without any additional login or subscriptions. Google TV Freeplay is constantly adding new channels, and is also preparing for Halloween with a dedicated section of free channels.
Available now through the “Live” tab on Google TV, a new “Halloween” section shows a selection of a dozen channels that fit in with the October 31 holiday. None of these channels are particularly new, but this section makes the channels fairly easy to find.
Google is primarily including channels here that show horror movies and TV shows, alongside some mystery content.
The channels listed in this new section include:
- Pluto TV Horror
- The Asylum
- Pluto TV Terror
- Scream Factory TV
- Filmrise Horror
- Universal Monsters
- The Walking Dead Universe
- Ghost Hunters Channel
- Filmrise Unsolved Mysteries
- Cine Terror
- The Addams Family
- Camp Snoopy
This section will likely go away in the coming days, but as Halloween lands tomorrow, it’s a handy way to get at the content you might want to watch during the spooky season.
Alongside this section for free channels, Google TV has also been showcasing Halloween content through the “House of Halloween” portion of the featured recommendations slider.
