Latest One UI 7 leak reveals Samsung features and new lock screen coming with Android 15

Likely ahead of a beta announcement, a new One UI 7 leak has revealed some of the features Samsung will launch on Galaxy devices alongside Android 15.

We’ve already learned a lot of what’s coming in Samsung’s One UI 7 update such as split notifications and Quick Settings, redesigned icons, and a lot more, but a new leak from Android Headlines is revealing some other features coming in the update.

According to this latest report, Samsung is planning to bring a handful of new features, starting with the previously-announced ability for Circle to Search to help with homework. That functionality has yet to roll out, but Samsung apparently plans to include it in One UI 7. Along the same lines, Samsung’s own Parental Control tools are getting a boost in this update including the ability to track the location of child’s device and for kids to send a request to buy a specific app.

There are, of course, more AI features as well.

One UI 7 will apparently use AI to add depth to pictures through “Live Effects,” as well as adding new styles to “Sketch to Image,” a feature that launched on Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in One UI 6.1.1. The “Energy Score” feature that works across a Galaxy smartphone and a Galaxy Watch also appears to be expanding in One UI 7.

Compared to other leaks, this latest one doesn’t reveal much in terms of tangible or exciting changes, but that may help temper expectations for when the update does finally arrive. From the looks of it, One UI 7 seems much more focused on delivering a visual overhaul than new features.

This latest report does help show that, too, with a clear look at Samsung’s new app icons from the update.

The same video, seen below, also shows off the new lock screen with a visible chip for ongoing activities, similar to Apple’s Live Activities and Google’s work with “Ongoing notifications” for Android 16. Another leaked video recently showed off lock screen updates, but didn’t showcase this new functionality. That same video also showed that the split notifications and Quick Settings, also seen in Samsung’s clip below, will be optional.
