To celebrate Peru’s most famous bear, Google Search is getting very sticky with a marmalade sandwich Easter egg in time for the launch of the upcoming Paddington in Peru movie.
We’ve seen many limited-time Easter eggs litter Google Search over the years, but never quite has the UI been coated in the sticky syrup that is marmalade.
If you enter “Paddington,” “Paddington 2,” or “Paddington in Peru” into the search box, you’ll spot a little sandwich button in the bottom right. Tap this and watch the top of the screen get drenched in the sticky orange preserve while the Peruvian bear’s favorite snack gets tossed around. Tapping the button repeatedly only adds yet more sandwiches to your screen.
Sadly, there is no scoring system. That would have added a bit of extra competition as to who can cover their screen the fastest. Spolier – You can check out how this Easter egg operates below:
As far as Easter eggs go, this is super simple, but given that Paddington never shuts up about marmalade sandwiches, at least they’re on brand. If you want to see this for yourself, just try one of the above search terms or save even more time by clicking here.
