Galaxy Z Flip 7 reportedly uses same cameras as Samsung’s foldables stagnate

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 sounds like it won’t make major changes, at least to the camera, according to the latest leaks.

The folks over at GalaxyClub are reporting that Samsung is planning to use a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera in the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the same shooters found in the Flip 6 before it. The internal selfie camera won’t be upgraded either, with a 10MP front-facing camera embedded in a hole-punch display cutout.

Essentially, this is all unchanged from the past generation, and the few generations before that in the case of the ultrawide and selfie cameras.

There are two Flip models coming this year, but these cameras are for the “main” device, the report claims.

Samsung has been running into stagnating demand for its foldables recently, with Flip 6 and Fold 6 failing to hit targets, leading to the company slashing its plans for 2025. Despite that, Samsung seems determined to continue building on the form factors with plans to release four new foldables in 2025, including a more affordable Galaxy Flip device.
