Galaxy Watch 7 is Samsung’s last circular Wear OS watch, and it’s just $199 right now

It’s not hard to find a Wear OS watch for a good price, but to have any lasting power, it’s usually smart to hand over a few more dollars. With a sale on the Galaxy Watch 7, though, you don’t have to choose, nor do you have to settle for the company’s upcoming new design.

As a part of the big “Discover Samsung” sales event, Galaxy Watch 7 is currently available for $100 off. That takes the price from its usual starting point of $299 down to $199. The discount applies to all variants, too, meaning you can pick the larger 44mm or an LTE version and you’ll still get $100 off of the usual retail price.

Trade-in values can knock off a few more dollars, but there are no strings attached on the $100 discount.

What are you really getting for that price? The Galaxy Watch 7, available since last July, delivers what is currently Samsung’s top-tier smartwatch. It has virtually the same health sensor suite as the Galaxy Watch Ultra while also running One UI 7 Watch, with updates set to be delivered for years to come.

But the real selling point at this exact moment is the design.

Samsung is preparing a huge shift in its Galaxy Watch 8 design, with the entire lineup adopting a new semi-square look inspired by the Galaxy Watch Ultra. It’s a polarizing change, with over half of 9to5Google readers saying they dislike the look in a recent poll.

We know that the base Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic are adopting this design per numerous leaks, including from Samsung’s own software.

So, if you want a Galaxy Watch that’s circular and will last for years to come, this Galaxy Watch 7 sale is a great way to get ahead of the curve.

Meanwhile, this same sale is delivering big discounts on other Samsung Galaxy products, as we’ve broken down.
