Following the announcement this morning, Google is rolling out the December 2025 update to the Pixel Watch 4, 3, and 2.
Based on Android 16, BP4A.251205.005.W7 is rolling out to the Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4, including both the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi and LTE models. This is officially “WearOS 6.1.” (There are no updates to the original model, which will remain on Wear OS 5.1.)
This follows the last update in October that brought Wear OS 6, while this is the first post-launch update for the Pixel Watch 4.
As always, tapping the “Your watch is up to date” screen (Settings > System > System updates) multiple times initiates the download this morning. To speed up the process, open Connectivity preferences and disable Bluetooth to force Wi-Fi.
The Pixel Watch December 2025 OTA update images can be found here. The Google Store and other retailers (Amazon) are discounting the Pixel Watch 4 by $50 this month.
Pixel Watch Wear OS updates now happen quarterly, but Google does introduce new features via the Play Store. Most recently, Now Playing picked up always-on display support alongside the Stopwatch and Timer. As of today’s OS update, the AOD Media Controls are fully live.

The new Double Pinch and Wrist Turn gestures are enabled by default after updating. Go to Settings > Gestures > Hand gestures to control, including the UI hints that appear. Answering and ending calls with Double Pinch is coming “soon.”
Everything else should be available: “Use it to scroll through alerts, instantly send the first Smart Reply, manage your timer and stopwatch, snooze an alarm, play/pause music, or even snap a photo.”
Meanwhile, Google has updated the Bedtime mode icon in Quick Settings from a moon to an actual bed.
