After detailing upcoming updates last week, the Gemini app has a new Deep Research capability that will let AI Ultra subscribers “visualize complex information instantly” with images and more.
In addition to text, Gemini Deep Research can now generate “visual reports” that feature custom images, charts, and interactive simulations. This can include diagrams and schematics to complement the report.
The Gemini app will “illustrate your findings” whether “you’re allocating a marketing budget or exploring complex scientific theories.”
Instead of just reading about a strategy, you can interact with a dynamic simulation model within your report to forecast outcomes based on different variables.
As always, tap Deep Research in the Tools menu and then click “Start research” after the overview/plan. You don’t have to specify visuals.
Examples include all kinds of charts, textbook-style diagrams that explain concepts, animations, and simulations. The goal is to transform “dense data into tangible, easy-to-understand insights.”
As of launch, this is only available for Google AI Ultra subscribers ($249.99 per month). This will hopefully expand to other tiers in the future.
