[Update: Fixed] It’s not just you, YouTube Studio is partially down in outage

If you’re trying to access YouTube Studio right now and running into problems, you’re not alone, as a widespread outage appears to be affecting the platform.

[Update]: All loading issues and problems with YouTube Studio have now been resolved per the post on the Google Support forums:

This is fixed! You should be able to access YouTube Studio as normal and see accurate stats across both mobile and web.
We appreciate you sticking with us while we got things back on track.

When trying to load studio.youtube.com or, in some cases, the mobile application – including the “Your videos” tab on YouTube mobile – you may encounter long load times, loading timeouts, and missing content. Making edits to videos results in a “Something went wrong” error message, while some areas are simply unresponsive.

Reports on Reddit and Downdetector have grown over the past hour, and we can confirm that we are also unable to access the backend of the 9to5Google YouTube channel – which you should 100% subscribe to if you haven’t already.

It’s worth noting that YouTube is not down, only the YouTube Studio portion of the service. For those unaware, this section allows you to upload content, make changes, reply to comments, and manage a channel. Video playback on desktop, mobile, tablet, and TV is unaffected. Content that was scheduled prior to the outage is also unaffected and appears to be going live.

The main “Channel dashboard” view shows “Oops, something went wrong,” while other areas, such as the “Content” panel and various other controls, can be slow to load or time out when accessed. The YouTube Studio mobile application is similarly affected but isn’t fully down in our testing. You can still access potentially cached data, but this will likely be out of date or cause problems if you want to make changes.

Luckily, the YouTube Studio team is aware that the creator tool is down, and in a post on the official support forums, confirmed that work is underway to fix the issues that many are encountering.

Our teams are actively investigating this issue! We’ll update this thread as soon as we have new information.
Thanks for your patience!
