Following its announcement last month, Samsung’s new Galaxy S26 series is set to hit store shelves tomorrow and, based on pre-order data, these phones are surprisingly popular in the US market, especially when it comes to the Ultra.
Samsung says that, compared to the Galaxy S25 series, total pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 series in the US are up nearly 25%. Given that there’s really not all that much new in this generation, that’s pretty surprising.
There are two main areas of growth, it seems.
For one, Samsung says that 80% of pre-orders have been for the Galaxy S26 Ultra rather than the S26 or S26+. It’s the only one we’d buy, that’s for certain.
Beyond that, Samsung says carrier pre-orders are up 70% year-over-year, while Best Buy and other retailers are seeing “double” the pre-order volumes in the US. Truly, just wild numbers here.
Samsung explains:
Since its unveiling, Galaxy S26 series has driven robust early demand. Pre-order volume is up nearly 25%, compared to the previous generation, with Galaxy S26 Ultra making up 80% of all pre-orders.
Major carriers are reporting significant early momentum, with more than a 70% increase in pre-orders when compared to the S25 series. While retailers, including Best Buy, are seeing more than double the pre-order volumes than the previous generation.
The Galaxy S26 series is available for pre-order now, with Samsung’s usual pre-order perks in full swing. You’ll find boosted trade-in values and more available now through March 11, when these phones are available on store shelves.
